  2024 alle ore 18:00 presso Arte Borgo Gallery sarà inaugurata la mostra 
 personale di Monika Kropshofer a cura di Anna Isopo con commento a cura de
 lla storica e critica d’arte Martina Scavone. \n\nMonika Kropshofer tor
 na nella Capitale con la sua prima mostra personale. Artista tedesca\, lav
 ora con una combinazione di fotografia e pittura attraverso la quale condu
 ce un dialogo tra questi due media. Pone domande fondamentali relative all
 e nozioni di area e spazio e crea immagini di un tipo completamente nuovo 
 di architettura virtuale.   \n\nNata a Neuwied\, in Germania\, ha studi
 ato storia dell'arte all'università di Bonn e lavora come artista indipen
 dente dal 1990. Ha realizzato mostre personali a Berlino\, Hong Kong\, Lip
 sia\, Vienna\, Seoul\, Lussemburgo\, Digione\, Taipei e Colonia\, tra le a
 ltre. \n\nScrive la storica dell’arte Martina Scavone: “Osservando i 
 lavori di Monika Kropshofer\, viene da domandarsi dove finisce la fotograf
 ia ed ha inizio la pittura: in questo senso la produzione dell’artista t
 edesca si configura quale metafora della società\, costantemente in bilic
 o fra finzione e vita reale. E sebbene fornirci una risposta non sia una s
 ua prerogativa\, è evidente come la fusione sia spesso talmente ben riusc
 ita – tanto nell’esistenza umana quanto nei suoi lavori – da non riu
 scire a distinguere la due parti\, le quali diventano così due metà dell

  \n\nMonika Kropshofer's solo exhibition will be inaugurated on Saturday 
 6 April 2024 at 6.00 pm at the Arte Borgo Gallery. Curated by Anna Isopo\,
  the opening will be accompanied by the commentary of the art historian an
 d critic Martina Scavone.\n\nMonika Kropshofer returns to the Capital with
  her first solo exhibition. German artist\, she works with a combination o
 f photography and painting whereby she conducts a dialogue between these m
 edia. She poses fundamental questions relating to notions of area and spac
 e and creates images of a whole new kind of virtual architecture. \n\nShe
  was born in Neuwied\, Germany\, studied art history at the university of 
 Bonn\, and has been working as an independent artist since 1990. She had s
 olo exhibitions in Berlin\, Hong Kong\, Leipzig\, Vienna\, Seoul\, Luxembo
 urg\, Dijon\, Taipei and Cologne\, among the others.\n\nFrom Martina Scavo
 ne’s critical text: “Observing the works of Monika Kropshofer\, one wo
 nders where photography ends and painting begins: in this sense the German
  artist's production is configured as a metaphor for society\, constantly 
 balanced between fiction and real life. And although providing us with an 
 answer is not her prerogative\, it is clear that the fusion is often so su
 ccessful - both in human existence and in her works - that one struggles t
 o distinguish the two parts\, which thus become two halves of the same who
