SUMMARY:Pathos - Roma - 17 Ottobre 26 17:00
DESCRIPTION:PATHOS\na cura di Anna Isopo e Martina Scavone\n17 – 25 ottob
prospettiva universale.\nArtisti partecipanti: Ezgi Atay\, Leon Amemiya P

 tina Scavone\n17 - 25 October 2024\nOpening on Saturday 17 October at 5:00
pm\nFrom 17 to 25 October 2026\, Palazzo Velli Expo in Rome will host “
PATHOS”\, the new international contemporary art exhibition curated by A
nna Isopo and Martina Scavone\, as part of the XI edition of Rome Art Week
.\nPATHOS arises from the encounter of diverse artistic languages\, genera
tions\, and sensibilities\, brought together by a shared reflection on the
role of emotion in the artistic experience. The exhibition explores PATHO
S not as a mere expression of feeling\, but as a generative force capable
of shaping inner intensity into image\, matter\, and gesture.\nIn ancient
Greek culture\, pathos symbolized the deepest and most irrational dimensio
n of the human being\, one that eludes the control of reason and\, precise
ly for this reason\, holds a powerful creative potential. Even today\, the
term evokes an emotional tension capable of engaging the viewer\, arousin
 g participation\, empathy\, and emotional resonance. In art\, however\, pa
thos is not merely depicted\; it becomes a "presence" that permeates the w
ork\, settles into its materiality\, and leaves visible traces of lived ex
perience.\nThe works on display bear witness to different ways of interpre
ting this "presence." Painting\, sculpture\, and photography enter into di
alogue\, each artistic practice preserving its own identity while contribu
ting to a shared narrative. The exhibition unfolds as a journey in which e
motional experience is transformed into formal tension\, memory\, and tran
sformation\, revealing artistic practice as the place where the individual
dimension opens onto a universal perspective.\nParticipating artists: Ezg
